Lynton was proud to have been invited to participate as an instructor at a 2-day laser cleaning pre-session at the American Institute for Conservation’s 52nd Annual Meeting, which took place in Salt Lake City, Utah in May this year. Over 40 conservators attended the workshop to learn about the application of NdYAG and ErYAG lasers in cultural heritage conservation. The workshop included practical sessions with both types of laser as well as covering theory, a broad range of case studies and plenty of opportunity for discussion. Lynton also worked alongside El.En.’s Light for Art division and Adam Jenkins Conservation Services Inc. to produce a series of videos on laser cleaning in conservation especially for the workshop.
